Interlaken – Part 4/5

We had a mixed day in terms of weather at Harder Kulm, but the view was still unbeatable! So calming that you feel like looking at it forever, just like the Swiss cow (life size statue) rooted to the observation deck.

Can’t blame the poor cow since the views of the two distinctly coloured lakes, Lake Thun (deep blue) and Lake Brienz (turquoise) wedged in between the glittering town of Interlaken below and the majestic snow covered mountains with the setting sun for background, who wouldn’t be drawn in?!

To be honest, we envied the cow a little bit. But since it was getting late (sunset happened at 8.30pm), we were hungry and we had to head back to Wilderswil, we had to leave our bovine friend alone.

Not before we whispered “Auf wiedersehen” into the cow’s ears! While we don’t know if that was the custom before, but we did notice few fellow tourists whisper sweet nothings into its ears after we did. Hope we did not start a custom to the annoyance of our friend😅
