The country of Switzerland has made provisions for you the explorer to witness its beauty in all its glory. There are entire regions in Switzerland that cannot be accessed by car, but by train you can.
And make no mistake, these are no ordinary trains or even ordinary routes. These special panoramic trains with the huge windows like clerestory windows give you a sense of watching a movie in the theatre!
The more scenic routes are the Glacier Express or the Bernina Express, the one you have seen in movies of a red train coming out of high viaduct (Landwasser Viaduct) with snow mountains all around. But the all time classic is the Golden Pass Line, which has 3 routes. The first of which begins where we last left off, Montreux!
