Macarons are the French sweet treats known world over, honestly there are many more where they came from.
On the topic of Macarons, which is the best? Debates like these cause world wars.
We were there to enjoy and while you will find an array of macron makers in the city from Pierre Hermé and Ladureé to McDonald’s and supermart packed. We tried the Ladureé macarons at the airport as well as the Champs-Élysées outlet and really enjoyed the Salted Caramel and the seasonal strawberry one at the Champs-Élysées outlet. We enjoyed our macrons on one of the roadside benches on the wide sidewalks looking at the famous Arc De Triomphe monument.
The Champs-Élysées is the most famous avenue in Paris that links the Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre. You will find shops catering to all variety and ranges on both sides of the road. After feasting on the yummy macarons at Ladureé we were tempted to try out the macarons at McDonald’s just to understand the range spectrum of macrons that Champs-Élysées has to offer, but instead had a tasty burger at McDonald’s, which was good especially because of the view it offered of the famous avenue below from their mezzanine space.
After our tummy’s full and batteries recharged we were ready to explore once again.
