The route from Nice to Monaco is famous for the incredible views it offers but there are incredible stories behind some spots on these roads that are oft not spoken about.
There are roads that are dotted by beautiful homes of the famous, like the mountain top villa of Sir Elton John or the Rothschild’s Villa which is distinct for its pink colour and then there are roads that have tragic stories linked to beautiful people, like the Devil’s curse hairpin bend where famous American actress and later Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly’s car steered off a cliff with her daughter Stephanie by her side (right or left side is still debated)
Also there are roads that are not just roads, like the Monaco Grand Prix circuit, which operates as a normal road (like in Singapore) when there are no race cars zooming by at 300+ kms/hr during to Grand Prix.
Our @viator guide took 2 quick laps of the treacherous circuit before taking us to the Casino de Monaco! Honestly, the GP circuit did not feel any different for we were being driven in a van instead of a race car(sigh!). Do you think @viator can make that happen?
