Put in the fairies and the endless stream of chocolate or add a unicorn if you like. In your dream of paradise whatever you feel needs to be there, feel free to add and that is all you need to do to complete the picture because the background is already available (for real!). The pristine swiss village of Lauterbrunnen, is a perfect Template for Paradise.
Actually, it was our first choice to set up base on our exploration of the Jungfrau region. We were ready to compromise on the connectivity to Interlaken parameter for the splendid visuals we saw on Google. But, the cozier AirBnBs we were eyeing were already booked, so we settled for Wilderswil, which in itself was a pleasant surprise. However, now that we have experienced Lauterbrunnen first hand, we will choose it in a heartbeat for our next visit.
We spent less time here than we desired (same as Wengen), but we thankfully did not rush it. In fact, for an hour, we just lied down on the lush grass bed with the view of the snowy peaks in front of us and the sound of the towering Staubbach falls behind us. There are quite a few things to do in Lauterbrunnen but this is definitely the Top thing to do.
Every sight is a contender for Postcard of the Year and if you think this is an exaggeration, go visit Lauterbrunnen for yourself. While you are there, do not forget to tag us on your photos or send us a postcard even. Should not be that difficult when you already have the Template for Paradise 😉
