Wilderswil is a quaint village at the mouth of the Bernese Oberland region. Only when we began exploring Wildersil did we recognize how pleasant is its laid-back vibe. This offers a unique experience with the commercial Interlaken on one side and the cold Jungfrau region on the other.
We stayed at Jungfrau Hotel with a room balcony that opened into an unhindered expanse of Swiss Beauty. The view accentuated by the toyish Bernese Oberland rail line dissecting the view into almost equal halves. We planned our trip to ensure a special day in our lives coincides with our stay at Wilderswil. The breath-taking view only made it all the more special❤️️
Besides the occasion, the selection of Wilderswil as a base was very easy. In our opinion Wilderswil has best access to the Lauterbrunnen-Jungfrau-Wengen-Grindelwald circuit and you can even do it in reverse. This is by far the best thing to do in the entire region besides visiting the Jungfrau itself!
With the such gorgeous views and Swiss cow bells for lullabies we slept like babies during our stay at Wilderswil.
