Pigalle is like Charlie and the Sex toy factory(replaced chocolate but could have just added it in), you will find things that you never knew existed and may not know how to use, don’t worry it’s completely normal.
This infact is a toned down version of the place that has had a history of debauchery, famed as the red light district of Paris.
Historically this place has huge significance! Amongst the colourful sex shops are the famous cabarets, most famous among those is the Moulin Rouge. Both Moulin Rouge and the Eiffel Tower were inaugurated in 1889, that’s interesting to note in the timeline of Paris as a city.
It is an expensive ticket to buy with red carpets to welcome the guests and a world class show on offer sadly taking pictures inside is forbidden, if not your cup of tea you can walk by and just enjoy the place for what it is. There are interesting things to do and shop for in Pigalle.
