What do we do first when we reach a new place once the luggage has been offloaded?

As soon as we dropped our luggage at our @airbnb in Nice we went straight to @la_brasserie_du_rossini and ordered a big bowl full of mussels with seafood pizza and some rosé to gulp it all down.
On our gastronomic agenda for the city we went about the quaint old town. Even though we did not get a reservation at a few places we really wanted to try, the food we had at alternate eateries in the old town was never disappointing. Also, South of France has some seriously good wines that are not well known. While rosé, mussels and ice cream were staple items on our plate (with mandatory beers 🍺), the famous Nicoise Salad and Socca(apparently must haves in Nice) are the ones that got away. Or maybe we left it out to so that the allure of it beckons us to Nice???!😏
Nope, we just somehow missed it😓 and there are many reasons we will return to Nice, not just for the things we missed out on but also for the things we did experience, for Nice is such a place of allure 😊
